Q: Why is BALMUDA The Kettle not stable on power supply base unit?
A: This is not a malfunction. When you put water inside of The Kettle, the unit will sit stable on base.
Q: Why is there water leakage from BALMUDA The Kettle?
A: Water may leak from BALMUDA The Kettle in the cases such as over-tilting, loosely placed lid, or overfilling water.
In some cases water leakage happens by safety function of BALMUDA The Kettle. When water is fully boiled, BALMUDA The Kettle detects steam going in duct inside of BALMUDA The Kettle. With this detection of steam, BALMUDA The Kettle shuts down automatically. After a while the steam will condensate and remain in the duct. In some cases the condensation leaks outside.
Q: How do you clean BALMUDA The Kettle?
A: Not Dishwasher Safe
Outside: Wipe BALMUDA The Kettle with a tightly wrung soft cloth.
Inside: Rinse the inside of BALMUDA The Kettle with water only.
Wipe the power base with a tightly wrung soft cloth.
Descaling: To clean off inside of BALMUDA The Kettle, follow the procedure below(picture and word in "Cleaning" section of instruction manual)
Q: Does BALMUDA The Kettle have a safety function?
A: As a safety function, bimetal in BALMUDA The Kettle detects vacant or small amounts of water. In that case, BALMUDA The Kettle automatically shuts down to avoid overheating.
Q: Does BALMUDA The Kettle have the function to set the exact degrees of boiling water?
A: No. The Kettle will automatically shut down when water is fully boiled.
Q: Does BALMUDA The Kettle have a function to keep the water warm?
A: No. The Kettle has only the function of boiling water.
Q: Does the surface of BALMUDA The Kettle get hot when boiling water?
A: When boiling water, surface of The Kettle does become hot. Do not touch any surface other than the handle (including outer surface, lid, and nozzle) when boiling water, or for some time after boiling water.
